The reigning two-time champ for Best Drama Series set a new record in 2022 for the most acting nominations in a single year (14).
Over in the drama categories, a big question is just how big “ Succession” will be in its fourth and final season. But “Abbott” has enjoyed tremendous acclaim, so could it be in for a much bigger windfall this time around? Last year “Ted Lasso’s” total of nominations was 20, while “Abbott’s” was only seven. We’re predicting series and acting categories, but the Emmys will also bestow awards for writing, directing, casting, and numerous crafts. Overall, in the categories we’re predicting, “Lasso” is expected to reap six bids, while “Abbott” is expected to pick up seven.
In the race for Best Comedy Series, it’s too close to call between “ Ted Lasso” and “ Abbott Elementary“ as of this writing both shows get 5/1 odds.
